from the softness of my bed

To stir the sentiments in me

For a long forgotten past
In a mood, so much somber
Then what is exists today
Where time moved very slowly
Across the golden path
I relish, what once I knew
For it shall never be again
From the shadows of my yesterdays
Which engulfs my very soul
I’ve learned it’s a part of me
In accepting what I’ve come to know
So in the destiny, which is now my home
I’ll remember the ideals of a simple time
In the dreams that are yet to follow
