Caring Friendship

In our walk upon this destiny that exists between two souls
Is heard a calling of sweet nature that is yet to unfold
It rings of caring friendship that has lasted thru the years
Bringing more often laughs, a few times it brought some tears

What makes this ever special is the gift we've come to share
A present from our Creator that shows how much he cares
Here lately you have written such words of golden hues
Like a rainbow from a gentle rain, that sweeps away the blues

How often have I wondered the world your eyes do see?
The beauty of your country which lies beyond the sea
To me it's like a rainbow arching above a mountain top
Conveying colors to my view in hope they'll never stop

I know it's not been easy on the road you both do walk
Hand in hand you stroll together in love you always talk
So hang in their my friend, you have many words to write
Hold on to your beloved I know he holds you tight

Soon it will be your birthday, you will turn another year
This presence in words I sent you is not to bring you tears
It's meant to make you happy, for we shared a common gift
Happy Birthday dearest Ursula, may my thoughts give you a lift
