There are rainbows in the sky
Which holds our hopes and dreams?
They come whenever God sheds his tears
For all that we have done
The pain and hurt we give each other
Is just a part of life?
For the very ones we love so much
Are the ones we hurt the most
Sometimes I wonder, why God allows
The anguish to be so rampant
But it's the free will, he gives to all
Which turn our hearts to stone?
I'll question not, what comes my way
But accept the fate, I'm handed
And pray for the rainbows, in the sky
To brighten up our days
So the tears from God, will not rain sadness
Upon our wretched souls
But bring the happiness, he meant to be
Upon this wayward child
